AI assistants (ChatGPT and other MCP clients)

eSIMpass offers a public, read-only information service for AI assistants at https://www.esimpass.com/mcp and https://www.esimpass.com/mcp/chatgpt (the eSIMpass app in ChatGPT). When you use eSIMpass through an AI assistant, the assistant sends us the details needed to answer you, such as a destination name, a phone model or plan filters. Some assistants also attach general technical information, such as your language or approximate region. We do not ask for, and do not receive, your name, email address, payment details, precise location or the content of your conversation, and this service sets no cookies.

Our servers and our network provider record each request (the IP address it came from, which is usually the assistant provider’s server, and the time); for the ChatGPT app we also record which function was used and whether it succeeded, but not what was asked. We use these records for security, rate limiting and to keep the service working. They are kept only as long as needed for those purposes (see Data Retention), are not shared with third parties other than the hosting and network providers that run the service for us, and are not used for advertising.

If you give an assistant the private eSIM link from your order confirmation, the assistant can use https://www.esimpass.com/mcp to read that eSIM’s installation details, exactly as anyone holding the link could; the ChatGPT app does not offer this. Your use of the assistant itself is covered by its provider’s privacy policy.
